pdfty's repair tool rebuilds broken PDFs. If a file won't open, throws errors like "file is damaged" or "invalid xref table", or renders blank pages, upload it here — we reconstruct the file's internal structure and return a clean, working copy with everything that could be salvaged.

PDFs break in predictable ways: interrupted downloads truncate the file, crashed applications write incomplete data, email gateways mangle binary content, and buggy generators produce malformed cross-reference tables. Our repair pass, built on pikepdf and the QPDF recovery engine, re-parses the raw file, rebuilds the xref table and object tree, discards irrecoverable fragments, and rewrites a structurally valid PDF.

Recovery is best-effort by nature: mildly corrupted files usually come back complete, while severely truncated ones may recover only some pages — which still beats losing the document entirely. Free for files up to 20 MB, no watermark, no signup. Files are uploaded over HTTPS and permanently deleted within 1 hour.
