JPG to BMP

Convert JPG to uncompressed BMP

Some software only accepts BMP: older Windows programs, embedded displays, industrial label printers, microcontroller projects and certain game modding tools. pdfty's JPG to BMP converter gives you a plain uncompressed bitmap those systems can read without fuss. It is also handy for retro graphics projects. Converting takes seconds and needs no software installed.

Conversion runs on our server with Pillow, and EXIF rotation from phone photos is applied so the BMP is upright. The output stores exactly the pixels decoded from the JPG โ€” it will not be sharper than the original, and existing JPG artifacts remain. BMP has no compression, so expect files many times larger than the source. If the receiving device has a size limit, use Resize Image first.

Upload several JPGs at once and get a ZIP with one BMP per file. Free: no daily limit, up to 20 MB per file, no watermark, no sign-up. Files are deleted within 1 hour. Check your device's documentation for the expected pixel size and color depth before loading the files.
