WebP to PNG

Convert WebP to PNG, keeping transparency

When you download a logo, icon or product cut-out from a website, it often arrives as WebP. PNG is the safer format for reusing it: design tools, presentation software and older editors all read PNG, and it keeps the transparent background that a JPG would turn white. pdfty's WebP to PNG converter does exactly that.

Conversion runs on our server with Pillow. PNG is lossless, so the result contains exactly the pixels decoded from the WebP — no further quality loss, and transparency is preserved. The catch is size: photographic WebPs can become several times larger as PNG. For photos you only want to view or share, WebP to JPG gives a smaller file.

Upload several WebPs at once and receive a ZIP with one PNG per file. Free: no daily limit, up to 20 MB per file, no watermark, no sign-up. Files are deleted within 1 hour. From there the PNG can go into Figma, PowerPoint, Canva or our PNG to ICO tool if you need a favicon.
