HEIC to JPG

Convert iPhone HEIC photos to universally compatible JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. The files are small and look great, but plenty of places still refuse them: older Windows PCs, upload forms on government and job sites, some photo printers and email clients. pdfty's HEIC to JPG converter turns those photos into standard JPGs that open on any device and upload anywhere.

Conversion runs on our server with Pillow and libheif. The orientation your phone recorded in EXIF is applied, so portrait shots come out upright instead of sideways. JPGs are saved at quality 85 โ€” visually indistinguishable from the original for normal viewing, at a sensible file size. Drop in a whole batch from your camera roll and you get a ZIP with one JPG per photo.

Free: no daily limit, files up to 20 MB each, no watermark and no account. Uploads travel over HTTPS and are permanently deleted within 1 hour. Need the photos inside a single document instead, for example receipts or ID scans? HEIC to PDF puts them into one file.

Frequently asked questions

JPG is a lossy format, so a tiny amount of detail is discarded. At quality 85 the difference is not visible on screens or in normal prints.
