Questions

Is the PDF editor really free?+

Yes. Every editing tool is free, with no watermark and no sign-up. Free printable templates have a daily download limit for guests; editing your own PDFs doesn't.

Are my files uploaded?+

No. The editor runs in your browser, so your PDF stays on your device while you edit and download it. Only Convert, Compress and OCR send the file to our server, and it's deleted within 1 hour.

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?+

Yes. Choose Edit text, click a line and type. The original font is kept when it has the characters you need; otherwise a matching standard font is used. Scanned pages need OCR first.

Is redaction permanent?+

Yes. When you apply a redaction, the text and images under the mark are removed from the file and replaced with a black box. Whiteout, by contrast, only hides content visually.
