Fillable PDF — type into the fields online or in any PDF viewer before printing.
The rows are the spending that actually turns up: food, treats and chews, vet visits and medication, insurance, grooming, toys and equipment, boarding and sitting and walking, training and classes, licence and registration, travel and carrier, and other. Twelve month columns run across, there is a year column at the right-hand end, and the last row totals each month. It is the quickest way to answer "what does the dog cost us?" with a figure instead of a guess.
No currency symbol is printed anywhere. A currency field at the top is yours to fill in, so the sheet works wherever you are and whatever you spend in. The year and the pet's name sit beside it, which matters if you keep a sheet per animal — the insurance and vet rows are usually where two animals differ most.
Under the table, a line takes the total for the year and a ruled box takes one-off costs, bills still to come and what to budget for next year. Every cell is a PDF form field, so you can keep the tracker on a computer and print it at the end of the year, or print it blank and fill it in with a pen as the receipts come in. One landscape page, US Letter or A4.
