One row per leg of the drive. The columns are day and date, from, to, distance, driving time, the time you leave, the time you arrive, the fuel or charge stop you plan to use, and the overnight stay with its booking reference. Twelve rows cover a fortnight of moving on, or a shorter trip broken into morning and afternoon legs so the long days are obvious before you set off rather than at nine in the evening.
Choose miles or kilometres before you download; the distance column and the totals line are labelled to match, so the sheet reads the way you think. The fuel or charge column matters more than it used to: an electric car wants the stop planned around where the charger is, a petrol one wants it planned where the stretch between towns is empty, and either way it is better written down at the kitchen table than remembered at the wheel. The overnight column keeps the booking reference next to the place, which is what you want at a reception desk at ten in the evening.
Under the table, a strip takes the total distance, the total driving time, what you spent on fuel or charging and the currency — no currency symbols are printed anywhere. A ruled box at the foot holds stops worth making, tolls and permits, people to visit and what to check on the car. Every cell is a PDF form field. One landscape page, US Letter or A4.
