Line art that fills the page: a symmetrical mandala or a repeating geometric tiling, in a bold version for small hands or a fine one for grown-ups.

Two patterns, each in two weights. The mandala is built from concentric rings of petals, triangles and circles arranged around a single centre, so the whole thing is symmetrical however far round you go. The tiling is a quilt of squares that alternate between four quarter-circle arcs and a diamond crossed by its diagonals, repeating edge to edge across the page.
The simple version uses fewer rings or larger tiles and a thicker line, which leaves big open areas a young child can fill with a crayon without going over the edge. The detailed version adds rings and shrinks the tiles, with a finer line, and gives an adult an hour of the slow, repetitive colouring people use to wind down. Everything is drawn as vector artwork rather than a scanned image, so the lines stay crisp at any print size and there is no grey halo around them.
The page is clean black line work on white, which copies and prints well on a plain home printer and uses almost no ink compared with a shaded illustration. There is a name line at the top for a classroom or care home set, and a note at the foot suggesting thicker paper if you plan to use paint or alcohol markers, which will otherwise bleed through ordinary copier stock. Nothing on the page is a form field: print it and colour it.
