This is a single-habit sheet, which is what makes it different from a month grid where fifteen habits compete for the same evening. The page carries one habit, written across the top in a line of its own, a hundred boxes in a ten by ten grid, and nothing else to dilute it. Every tenth row is marked down the right edge so you can see at a glance that you are at sixty without counting.

Under the habit line is a ruled panel for why it matters to you, in your own words. Three weeks in, when the novelty has gone, that sentence is the thing that gets read. At the foot of the page two more panels ask the questions that decide whether a streak survives: what your plan is for the day you miss one, and what you give yourself at a hundred.

Choose numbered boxes, which print 1 to 100 with a tick box in each, or blank boxes you can date, colour in or cross off by hand. Numbered boxes are fillable, so you can tick them in a PDF viewer on a phone; blank boxes are text fields, so you can type the date you did it. One page, US Letter or A4, and if a day gets missed the advice printed on the sheet is to fill the next box rather than start again.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Name one habit

Write it in the line at the top — one habit per sheet, print another for the next one.

  2. 2

    Write why it matters

Fill the panel under the habit in your own words; it is what you will read on day twenty-two.

  3. 3

    Print or fill it in

Print at 100% ("Actual size") so lines and boxes keep their exact spacing, or fill the form fields on screen in any PDF viewer.

  4. 4

    Fill a box a day

Tick, colour or date a box each day you keep it, and fill the panels at the foot before you start.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. There is no watermark and no sign-up for your first 20 downloads each day; after that a free account keeps downloads going. You may print the file as often as you like for personal, school or business use.
A monthly habit tracker gives you many habits across one month. This gives one habit a hundred days and a page to itself, with space for why you are doing it and what happens when you miss a day.
Yes with numbered boxes, which are checkboxes. The blank version makes each box a text field instead, so you can type a date in it.
Only that it is a round number that fits a page and runs past the point where most attempts stop. There is no claim here about how long a habit takes to form.
Fill the next box. The sheet says so in print, and the panel at the foot is where you decide in advance what you will do about it.
Yes. Open the PDF in GoodNotes, Notability or Xodo and write on it with a stylus, or fill the form fields and keep the file on the device instead of printing it.
