Care labels are printed in grey, at two millimetres, inside a seam. This chart draws the same symbols large enough to recognise and says what each one means, grouped the way the label is: washing, bleaching, tumble drying, natural drying, ironing and professional care. The symbols are drawn as vectors, so they stay crisp whether you print the page full size or shrink it to pin inside a cupboard.
The washing group covers the tub at 30, 40, 60 and 95 degrees, the one and two bars that mean a mild or very mild cycle, the hand-wash tub and the crossed-out tub, with a note on the dots some labels use instead of numbers. Bleaching covers the plain triangle, the striped triangle for oxygen bleach only and the crossed triangle. Drying is split between the four tumble-dryer symbols and the four natural drying ones: dry flat, drip dry, line dry and dry in the shade.
Ironing gives the one, two and three dot irons with their maximum temperatures and the crossed iron, and professional care covers the P, F and W circles, the bar that means a mild process, and the circle that means do not dry clean. You can show temperatures in Celsius alone or with the Fahrenheit equivalent. This sheet is a reference chart, so there is nothing to fill in. One page, US Letter or A4.
