Dot grid paper gives you the guidance of graph paper without the cage of lines. Each dot is about 0.6 pt across, small enough to disappear under pen or pencil but clear enough to line up letters, boxes and margins. The spacing is set from the real unit, not approximated: choose a 5 mm pitch, which is the standard in most bullet journals, or a quarter inch, which matches US notebooks and makes half-inch and one-inch jumps easy to count.
The grid is centered on the page with equal margins on the left and right, so the sheet looks deliberate when you bind or staple it. On US Letter the 5 mm version gives 40 dots across and 52 down; the quarter-inch version gives 31 across and 41 down. Pick gray for a near-invisible grid or light blue, which fades further behind graphite and ink and is the easier of the two to scan out.
The file is a single vector page, so the dots stay round and evenly spaced at any print resolution. There is nothing to fill in on screen: this is a blank sheet for handwriting, sketching, lettering practice, wireframes and layout planning. Print as many copies as you want, or merge several into one file if you prefer to keep a pad as a single PDF.
