Each stave has the six lines of standard guitar tablature, spaced 10 pt apart so there is room to write fret numbers without them touching the lines above and below. The strings are labeled down the left edge — e, B, G, D, A, E from the top — and a barline closes each end of the stave. Choose tab only and you get ten staves on a page, which is enough for a full song section.
Choose tab and staff and each system becomes a blank five-line staff above a tab stave, six systems to the page. That is the layout published tab uses: rhythm and phrasing in notation on top, fingering in tab underneath. There is no clef or time signature printed, so you can write your own, and nothing is pre-barred — you set the measures where the music needs them.
At the top of the sheet there are plain ruled lines for the song title and the tuning, which matters if you work in drop D, DADGAD or open G. Write them in by hand; the sheet has no form fields. Print a stack for lessons, transcription, songwriting or working out a solo by ear. The lines are dark enough to photocopy and light enough to pencil over without fighting them.
