A moving checklist tells you what to do; it does not tell you when. This sheet is the other half: four columns, one per week, each holding seven day boxes that count down from day minus twenty-seven to moving day. Every box has a short date line at the top and ruled writing room underneath, so you put the real dates in once and then spread the jobs across the days instead of discovering them all in the last seventy-two hours.
The columns are headed four weeks to go, three weeks, two weeks and moving week, and the final box is marked MOVING DAY and tinted so it stands out from the rest of the page. Working backwards from that box is the point of the sheet: utilities, the post redirection, the school transfer and the van booking all have a date by which they have to be done, and here they sit on the day you chose rather than on a list with no deadline.
There are lines at the top for the moving date and the new address. A six-week version is there for a move with a longer run-up, such as one that involves a sale or a visa. Every date line and every day box is a fillable form field, so a shared plan can be typed and emailed, or the sheet can be printed blank and pinned up in the kitchen.
