Meetings run long when nobody says who is leading an item or how long it should take. This agenda puts both on the page. The top records the date, time, the place or meeting link, and the facilitator. Under that are two boxes: one for the attendees, and one for the objective — the single thing the meeting has to settle. Writing that sentence before the meeting is usually what makes it shorter.

The main table numbers each agenda item and gives it a topic, an owner and a minutes allocation, so you can add up the minutes and see whether the agenda really fits the slot. Choose six items for a short stand-up or working session with plenty of writing room, or ten for a longer board or committee meeting. Below the agenda is an actions block with four rows for the action, its owner and a due date.

The last line records the date, time and place of the next meeting, so it is agreed while everyone is still in the room rather than over email a week later. Every field on the page is fillable: type the agenda, send it out beforehand as a PDF, then print copies for the table and write the actions in by hand. It prints at full size on US Letter or A4.
