Each page holds twenty-four problems in four columns of six, written one number above the other with the decimal points lined up and a rule underneath for the answer. Adding and subtracting use two numbers with two decimal places each, large enough to need regrouping but small enough to stay in a child's head when checking. The line under the title restates the rule being practised, and there is a name, date and score line at the top.
The multiply setting changes the shape of the question: a number with one decimal place times a single-digit whole number, which is the standard introduction to decimal multiplication. The note reminds the child to multiply as whole numbers first and then put the decimal point back, and every answer has exactly one decimal place so a wrong number of places is easy to spot when marking.
Every answer space is a form field, so the sheet can be worked on a laptop or a tablet as well as on paper. Turn the answer key on and the PDF becomes two pages: the worksheet, then the same twenty-four problems with the answers printed in red under each rule. The same operation always produces the same twenty-four problems, so a printed key still matches a sheet printed weeks later.
